Squad Coach Philosophy
Squad Criteria
Age 6 - 10
- Must train a minimum of 3 sessions per week
- Must have basic knowledge of 3 strokes
- Swimmers are selected into the squad by Squad and Head Coach
- Correct lane discipline and behaviour
- Regular review to be carried out of attendance, improved skills and commitment
- To compete in Club, Hull & District Galas, together with any galas as selected by Squad Coach
- Regular review to be carried out of attendance, behaviour and commitment
Aims
- To enforce the swimmers training skills in all four strokes as part of their Long Term Athlete Development
- Development of Individual Medley training.
- High level starts, turns and finishes.
- Prepare swimmers for AGE 2 Squad.
- Obtain Yorkshire Qualifying time.
- Introduction to nutrition and basic stretching exercises.
- Use of pace clock.
- Rules of the sport.
SELECTION TO THIS SQUAD IS OFFERED UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE HEAD COACH

Announcements
Annual Awards Night
The presentation evening will take place on Sunday 12th February 2012. It will be at Dene Park Sport and Social Club, Beverley Road Dunswell.
Tickets will be on sale soon priced £3.50 each, doors open 5.30 - 10.00pm.
Buffet, bar, raffle and disco to finish the evening so bring your dancing shoes.
We would hope that all our members can attend as it is the night of the year when we applaud all of our swimmers for their efforts over the past year.

New Menu Added
We have now added a "Medication" page to the "Swimmer Information" menu to help explain the potential hazards of taking medication whilst competing.
Please have a look as even the most innocuous medication could be on the banned list.
